African Energy Chamber pushes BEAC to postpone Forex regulations
The African Energy Chamber, which represents nearly every segment of the energy sector in Africa, is pleased to announce the extension on the implementation of the BEAC (Banque des États de l’Afrique Centrale) Forex Regulation from January 1st to December 1st, 2021. This is based on the decision on November 5th, 2020 made by H.E. Abbas Mahamat Tolli, Governor of BEAC, to delay the implementation.

Minister Mantashe hands over IeC to the Qamata community
The South African Minister of Mineral Resources and Energy, Mr Gwede Mantashe handed over the Integrated Energy Centre (IeC) to the Thembisile Hani IeC Co-operative in the Qamata community of the Eastern Cape Province. The department, in partnership with PetroSA, has established the IeC to enhance access to affordable and sustainable energy services, job creation and stimulate rural enterprise development.
