Canadian Solar, ET Energy to Build 132 MW Solar Power Projects in South Africa

Canadian Solar Inc. one of the world’s largest solar power companies recently announced the established of a joint venture with ET Energy, a global clean energy developer and operator. The joint venture will see the two companies provide Engineering, Procurement and Construction (“EPC”) services for two solar power projects totalling 132 MW in South Africa for BioTherm Energy, an independent African power producer.

University Brings Renewables Knowledge to High Schools

Students from two high schools in the Western Cape Province of South Africa had the opportunity to learn more about renewable power resources and climate change. The students from Hopefield High and Weston High Schools were the latest to welcome the custom-built “EnergyDrive” truck, the main feature of a project that was launched in November 2016 by the Durban University of Technology.
